ARTIST STATEMENT
I knew I was an ARTIST by the 6th grade. Have not stopped creating & learning something new, ever. Love pen & ink, watercolor, latex, acrylics, ceramics & now, my favorite: ENCAUSTICS!
Started painting Christmas Windows in 1971. Haven't missed a season, & will continue until I can't hold a roller.
In the 80's, Bill Radley & T. Scott Sayre watched me painting windows & recruited me to help them paint murals. We did have fun...
In 2010, discovered the Encaustic medium..& was blessed to have personal Encaustic workshop with Mentor, Fran Brown. I love the texture, smell & layering....There was an adjustment period from working very large & fast, to slow & small! My current artwork also incorporates Sacred Geometry, broadcasting beneficial energy into every room my work hangs. Thank you my Dowsing Mentors... Sharron Hope, Adhi Two Owls, Jeanne Gehringer...
I reside in Oroville, CA, I fell in love with EZ, kicked-back Lake Oroville lifestyle. My Real Estate career started in 2004, & it brings me the income & leisure to enjoy painting what I feel....
